[Ryou, being the homebody that he is...is of course in the house. Atem's still out doing Atem things (don't worry about it Ryou), so he's busy painting a replica of his White Wizard figure, but with his shade features, whenever he hears the knock. Ryou sighs, putting his work down and moving to the door. The interruption isn't necessarily bad, he was just into what he was doing.
He assumes it's one of the neighbors, perhaps seeking out Atem? He's usually pretty quiet and doesn't get as many visitors. Really, the only person he could have expected to visit is--
--his clawed fingers pause over the doorknob as a wave of anxiety washes over him. The only person who he was expecting, and he didn't know when...was the Ring-Spirit.
He wouldn't just show up would he? He'd message Ryou first?
...No, no. This is about right. Ryou's still not 100% sure that it is the spirit outside the door, he can't be until he opens it...but he can't just leave them waiting, whoever it is. So...he steels himself, unlocks the door, and opens it.
...Yep. Yeah, there he is.]
Oh.
[Ryou doesn't mean for it to happen, but the look on his face must look conflicted. Perhaps a little bitter.]
I...I wasn't expecting--uhm. W-well I wasn't expecting anyone.
[He glances down, trying to bite back his nerves. He had said "not today" at Noa's party, and it was now "not today." He can't be upset about that.
But what has his stomach in knots isn't that the Ring-Spirit was here unnanounced, and he knows it. Their fight...it still stung like a thousand cuts, all being rubbed in acid.
To the spirit, he must look terrible, standing there wrapping his arms around himself, breathing oddly, regretting that he's not wearing long sleeves or a collar or anything to cover his scars at all. And they're not just the scars the Ring-Spirit knows about either. The burns from AM on his arm and foot were visible too.

He hates it.]
C-come in, I...I have to close the door.
