It seems a bit like a peace offering, but Ryou doesn't particularly feel as if Horatio owes him any kind of offering at all...so he just stares at the candy for a moment...then reaches for it along with the custard.

"Would you like something to drink?" he asks, ever the thoughtful host. But he still sounds...off. Because while he likes to pretend he doesn't care, and is doing a very good job of sounding like a thoughtless bastard, he very clearly does. Atem's the master of not giving a shit in this house.
